Dodgers' two-out rally puts away rival Giants in extras
The Los Angeles Dodgers strung together two-out bloop singles by Freddie Freeman and Andy Pages around an infield hit by Teoscar Hernandez, all producing a run, in a relatively quiet 11-inning uprising that produced a 5-2 road victory over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday afternoon. Baseball's traditional first half was extended by two innings when Giants pinch-hitter Luis Matos smacked a one-out, two-run home run off Dodgers closer Tanner Scott in the last of the ninth, drawing the hosts even at 2-2.
Giants Offense Was Shut Down in First Ever Showdown Against Dodgers Megastar
The chase for the National League West crown has been one of the more tightly contested divisional races so far this season, with both the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers leading the crowded field. The three-time MVP winner completely shut down the Giants' lineup, striking out four hitters while allowing zero runs.
Following arduous Tommy John recovery, SF Giants' Robbie Ray back to All-Star form
Robbie Ray remembers when everything clicked. It was April 26, 2025 — 724 days since Ray underwent two surgeries that, in effect, robbed him of two seasons. Ray began the frame with a strikeout, then induced a groundout and a fly out. As Ray walked back to Oracle Park's third-base dugout, he realized his timing was back.

Barry Bonds heartfelt message to SF after Bobblehead Day
The San Francisco Giants squandered an opportunity to gain ground in the NL West Saturday, as the Los Angeles Dodgers ended a seven-game skid with a 2-1 victory. The Giants hosted a Barry Bonds bobblehead giveaway and the all-time home run leader was in attendance, even throwing out the first pitch before the game. Bonds received a warm welcome from the San Francisco crowd and showed his appreciation with a message posted on Instagram.
Four Giants Players Who Could Use Willy Adames-Like Turnaround in Second Half
The San Francisco Giants have had a nice season overall, but it hasn't all been sunshine and rainbows. Willy Adames is someone who started the season disappointing, but has played his way into good graces by putting together a very nice stretch during the summer months. In 36 games since the start of June, Adames has posted a .258/.347/.476 slash line. Here are a couple other players the Giants could benefit from having a similar turnaround.

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor makes MLB history
New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor recorded his 200th career stolen base in the fourth inning of Saturday's game, joining an exclusive club in the process. By swiping second, Lindor became just the third shortstop in MLB history (with a minimum of 70% of games played at the position) to tally both 200 home runs and 200 stolen bases. The other two members of that club are Hall of Famer Derek Jeter and 2007 NL MVP Jimmy Rollins. Lindor, 31, has 19 home runs and 15 stolen bases through his first 94 games.
