When asked about Logan Webb's performance against the San Diego Padres, catcher Patrick Bailey said it was “the best I've ever seen him.” Webb ended the night with a no decision, and the Giants ended the night with a 1-0, 10-inning loss to the Padres on Monday at Oracle Park as the offensive struggles woes continued. The Giants have mustered only 30 runs over their last 15 games.
Padres' Ryan Bergert faces Giants in first big-league start

Right-handers Ryan Bergert of the Padres and Landen Roupp of the Giants are the scheduled starters in the rematch of a tense series opener that featured three hit batters -- but not a whole lot of hits -- in San Diego's 1-0, 10-inning win. Bergert (1-0, 0.00 ERA), who made four relief appearances earlier this season before getting demoted to Triple-A, will be recalled from the minors to make his first major league start.

Astros look vulnerable in the AL West. Is anyone ready to dethrone them?
Slowly but surely, the stars of Houston's 2017 World Series-winning team have scattered about in the years since. George Springer is in Toronto now, Alex Bregman in Boston and Carlos Correa in Minnesota. Justin Verlander pitches for San Francisco. Jose Altuve and Lance McCullers Jr. are still with the Astros, but it feels like it's only a matter of time before Houston's dominance of the AL ...
SF Giants' Encarnacion back from injured list, Matos optioned to Sacramento
Amid their offensive struggles, the Giants are getting a much-needed reinforcement. In a corresponding move, San Francisco optioned outfielder Luis Matos, who homered in Sunday's 4-2 win, to Triple-A Sacramento.

Which Giants Prospects Could Be Promoted to MLB Next?
The San Francisco Giants have had a number of young players making an impact at the Major League level over the last few years. Last season, it was infielder Tyler Fitzgerald who came out of nowhere, forcing his way into the lineup as an everyday player. Outfielder Heliot Ramos burst onto the scene in 2024, earning a spot on the National League All-Star team and emerging as a pillar of this franchise. On the mound, Ryan Walker became a late-game weapon out of the bullpen, earning the closer's role.
Cabrera, three relievers combine to lead Marlins to 1-0 win over Giants
MIAMI -- - Edward Cabrera pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings, Javier Sanoja had an RBI single, and the Miami Marlins beat the San Francisco Giants 1-0 on Saturday. Another Former Rox Player Makes MLB Debut
(KNSI) – A second former Rox player has made his Major League Baseball debut in as many weeks. Jack Winkler played baseball for the Dons of the University of San Francisco and spent two summers in St. Cloud at Joe Faber Field. He took to the diamond for the Rox in 2020 and 2021. On Saturday, in a full-circle moment, Winkler was suited up for the Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park, playing against the San Francisco Giants. He went 0-for-2 at the plate, but had plenty of company. The fish only had three hits and still pulled out a win, 1-0. Winkler did not get a plate appearance on Sunday. Winkler is the 393rd Northwoods League alum to play in the majors. ___ Copyright 2025 Leighton Media. All rights
